Classes focus on mediums and subjects that have withstood the test of time for generations. Enjoy an afternoon creating and reconnecting in this historic property.

July 19 - Mokuhanga Printmaking
with Carol Brown
$45 Members/$55 Non-Members
Celebrate Artown with us!
Students will learn to print with water-based inks on carved woodblocks using traditional Japanese art supplies and washi paper. Each student will create several prints using various designs and color combinations.
This workshop requires mobility: Students will be walking, standing and sitting. Students are invited to bring their own sack lunch and water.
August 9 - Canvas Storyboards (also known as "dream boards")
with Pura Vida Sierras Art

Join A, certified life art coach, as she leads the process of creating your own life storyboard using collage, drawings, printing, and other tools on canvas. The focus of the storyboards are up to the individual: wishes and dreams, goals, releasing what no longer serves you...it is up to the individual. Participants are welcome to bring their own photographs, clippings, or other items that resonate with them.
September 27 - Monoprinting
with Julie Haug
Julie will lead participants through the process of creating multiple one of a kind monoprints on paper using professional printmaking supplies. Monoprinting is the process of creating multiple prints from a single design, watching each piece of the series evolve to become its own unique statement. Participants will learn the techniques and then create multiple prints during the class. This medium is great fun and approachable. All skill levels are welcome.
October 11 - Needle Felt Painting
with Lisa Shea

Learn the wonderfully tactile artform of needle felted painting using dyed wool roving, special felting needles, and your imagination. These works of art are warm, lovely, and fun. All skill levels are invited to participate.
This class involves sharp felting needles with a minimum age requirement of 16 years of age.
November 8: Wet Felted Wool Vessels
with Julie Haug
$45 Members/$55 Non-Members
Create wonderfully sculptural and textural wool bowls or other vessels in this hands-on class centuries-old art form. Students will learn the techniques to create the vessels and will leave with a finished piece at the end of the class.
Did you know: Wet felted wool is one of the oldest art forms dating back to 4,000 - 5,000 BCE.
