GRANTS, FUNDING & OTHER SUPPORT

We work hard to seek appropriate grants and funding opportunities to supplement our diverse programming, restoration and maintenance and operational cost needs.

This year has been particularly challenging and yet we have been blessed with funding from these amazing institutions as well as our individual donors and members. Please consider joining our organization as a member or making a donation to support our programming, operations and restoration efforts.

STOREY COUNTY FUNDING:

We are thankful for Storey County funding and in-kind support by the IT department and Public Works departments.  Through this crucial support, we are able to address some of the critical restoration and maintenance work required to keep this amazing county property standing and available to visitors and our community that would otherwise not be covered through grants, donations and programming revenues.

NEVADA ARTS COUNCIL & NATIONAL ENDOWMENT OF THE ARTS:

COMMISSION FOR CULTURAL CENTERS and HISTORIC PRESERVATION &  STATE HISTORIC PRESERVATION OFFICE:

The CCCHP grants are a funding cornerstone of our restoration and preservation efforts.  Through these grants, and Storey County Building Grants, we are able to achieve great improvements to protect and preserve this magnificent property.  We work closely with the SHPO staff and our engineers and contractors to design and implement the best solutions for the buildings.

CCCHP Grant 19-12

We were awarded a fantastic $112,000.00 grant to help restore our leaking porch, damaged and leaking print room, deteriorating east façade windows and repointing of our brick chimney.  Simerson USA is the project contractor. The work has been completed and the Print Room is available for printmaking and as a classroom for the first time in four years.  This project was funded with the assistance of the Commission for Cultural Centers and Historic Preservation
