Our historic landmark building is situated in the perfect location for an outdoor wedding with the gorgeous town of Virginia City as a backdrop. Throw the bouquet from our balcony, enjoy your reception on the front grounds and spend the night in a building reserved just for you and your wedding party. Our venue offers one of a kind views and a beautiful, artsy experience in a historic masterpiece.
We offer a wholly unique experience and venue that allows wedding parties and their guests to stay within our 4 floor building with beautiful spaces filled with fine art, and history.

Serene Grounds
Enjoy Historic Virginia City
Tucked away from the main street with stunning background of Virginia City and Mount Davidson, it is a view unlike any other in town.
This beautiful property enjoys ample acreage while still close enough to enjoy the thriving historic landmark district.
We have recently upgraded our front grounds to transition from grass to decomposed granite with a flagstone path. Further beautification includes the significant addition of historically appropriate, and hearty plants such as lilacs, lavender, Russian sage, salvia, thyme, and more.
This new design conserves water, encloses the front area, provides a defined walkway and ceremony area, and adds layers of height, color, and beauty.

Rental Deposits DO NOT guarantee dates for hold or rentals without written confirmation by SMAC staff. Reservations are not confirmed until contract execution. Deposit amount includes 3% ($15) credit card processing fee.

Scenic Balcony
This lovely elevated balcony offers and intimate focal point from above or below with the 1876 building and town as gorgeous backdrops.
Walk down the staircase for a regal entrance. The balcony is located on the west side and overlooks the beautiful grounds and town.

Grand Front Porch
The shaded front porch offers a beautiful covered location for a ceremony, grand walk to a wedding on the front grounds, or as a relaxation space.
The porch is located on the west side of the second floor with views of the grounds and upper streets of town and Mount Davidson.

The Art Studio
This is the largest indoor space and has beautiful eastern, southern, and western lighting.
The Studio is warm and welcoming with original floors, customizable party lighting, and eclectic, artsy decor and patina.
Occupancy ranges based on use, with a maximum capacity of 53.

Our collections and exhibitions provide unique photo opportunities and adding color and inspiring conversation and reflection.

Mimi Patrick
Library Lounge
A warm, inviting space with a vintage 1876 quilt, collection of fine and folk art by Mimi Patrick. With an eclectic collection of arts-related books located on our top floor, the library lounge offers space to relax, read a book, or perhaps listen to a beautiful acoustical performance.

Louise Curran Theatre
Seating 23 people, this charming theatre includes vintage loveseats and stunning 1938 theatre seats from the former Virginia City Theatre (now Grandma's Fudge).
Sing karaoke, watch personal streaming services, movies, or personal photo slideshows and videos to commemorate the occasion.

2 kitchens available for professional catering or self-prepared meals:
South Kitchen (right): Ideal for catering and food storage with large cooler, residential microwave, oven, and small appliances.
North Kitchen: Ideal for serving and dining, including residential refrigerator, dishwasher, microwave, oven, and range.

Furnishings, Linens & Tableware
We offer folding tables, cafe tables, and folding chairs for convenience, included within the rental rate.
As a nod to our heritage in Nevada as the "Silver State," we also offer light gray tablecloths, seat covers, and napkins. Dark gray tablecloths provide interest and contrast for larger tables. The neutral, yet complimentary, color palate is a great backdrop for your personal decor.
Tableware and large-capacity beverage and serving options are available.
