Discover art, history and architecture at St. Mary’s Art Center. Explore six fine art galleries while taking a self-guided tour of our historic four-story, 13,000 square-foot property in Virginia City, Nevada.

Gallery Hours

The galleries are open Wednesday through Sunday, 11 a.m. – 4 p.m.

Self-Guided Tours

Experience the Art Center at your own pace using a QR-code tour or written tour. Video tours are coming soon.

Tour materials are available in English and Spanish.

Explore the Art Center

First Floor

Visit our seasonal fine art galleries and the Wishes & Dreams interactive project. This floor also includes the Print Room Studio and Classroom, kitchens, Guest Room 1 and restrooms.

Second Floor

Explore the Historical Exhibition and Artisan Gallery. This floor also includes Guest Rooms 2–9, the porch, offices and restrooms.

Third Floor

Discover the Nevada Gallery and Art Studio. This floor also includes Guest Rooms 10–14, the balcony and restrooms.

Fourth Floor

Visit the Annabelle Shelley Gallery, Louise Curran Theatre, Mimi Patrick Library and Way It Was Room. Guest Rooms 16–17 are also located on this floor.

Accessibility

St. Mary’s Art Center is located in a historic four-story building that does not currently have an elevator. Visitors must use stairs to reach the second, third and fourth floors.

The first floor is accessible by ramp and includes seasonal fine art exhibitions and galleries, the Wishes & Dreams interactive project, the Print Room Studio and Classroom, kitchens, one guest room and restrooms.

Accessible parking is available at the northeast corner of the property. The accessible ramp is located on the east side of the building.
