Open Studio Tuesdays & Eclectic Art Lodging
Each Tuesday during the year will see artists painting in the studio, working on the etching press, using the photography lab or finishing up a craft project. Beginning at 9 am, feel free to wander our halls, curl up in a corner with your sketch book, organize a card game in the kitchen, paint in the studio, borrow a paperback, plug in your laptop and enjoy our Wi-Fi access to the Internet (wireless card required), play our piano, write the great American novel, or just have a cup of coffee or tea. Reservations are not required, but nice to have. The hours are 9 am to 6 pm each Tuesday May through October - holidays excepted.
Eclectic Art Lodging At SMAC - new this year individual artists or small groups wishingto reserve our redecorated sleeping room and work in an open studio format can arrange to spend a night or two with us by calling the office (775 847-7774). Our guests are encouraged to enjoy our exhibitions in our three galleries and to mingle with any of our art students as they relax during a break or after the workshop is over.
Groups are also welcome to use Open Studio Tuesdays for meetings or work sessions. There are a variety of spaces available. Please call 775 847-7774 to reserve space for your group.
